I attended the webinar last day that is titled "10 Apps Every Teacher Needs". The presenter was Shannon J. Holden. He is an assistant principal. in this webinar he told us about 10 applications and how we can implement them in our classrooms.
Here are the different 10 apps:
- kahoot: it is an application that is free. it is a kind of engaging competitive timing. It allows you to see if the students are working individually or not.
- quizizz: it is engaging app, and it provides immediate feedback. It allows the teacher to see individual performance.
- quizlet live: It is about collaborative learning. It has the immediate reteaching benefit.
- wakelet: it is a free app that works as a digital portfolios and digital storytelling. It can consist of "websites, videos, documents, articles..."
- Flipgrid: It is free app. Teachers can control it and it is accessible on all devices. It has connectivity with teachers, students all over the world.
- Duolingo: It is a free app. It is a kind of app that the students can earn points if they got a correct answer.
- Recap: it is an application that allows the teachers and the parents of the students to have insight on students learning process.
- Additio: It helps the teacher in order to take the attendance and the marks of the students.
- classtree: It is an interesting app that notifies the parents of the students if they have any trip or any event for their children.
- photomath: it is very interesting app. If you have a difficult math problem and you are not able to solve it, so simply you take a picture of the problem and this app gives you the detailed solution.
Seems to be an interesting webinar! There are really nice apps that are beneficial and creative in the world of teaching that enhances teachers' work and activities. It is going to be nice and beneficial if teachers try some of the apps that are flexible and easy to use.
