A reluctant reader is anyone that has little or no interest in reading at all. Despite the large amount of books around them in the school, libraries, and in the home they prefer not to read. It is a very common problem that teachers face at their classes to have a child that refuses to read. But, such students need a lot of encouragement and motivation for their academic achievement.
- How to motivate a reluctant reader?
It is hard to keep the child interested in reading, there are many
ways that teachers and parents should follow to encourage and motivate their
students and children to read. It is very hard for the teachers and the parents to let the reluctant reader reads. If the reluctant reader doesn't have the interest to read, he/she will not read. These are some ideas for teachers and parents
to encourage the children to read:
-If the kid is able to read let him/her to read for you.
-If the kid is able to read let him/her to read for you.
- Go to the library once a week and borrow books .
-If the child prefers the electronic devices, install books on them.
-Discuss the book with your child or student.
- Buy them hi-lo books, that are with high interest and low vocabulary.
